Sir Reginald “Rex” Carey Harrison (5 Mar 1908 Huyton - 2 Jun 1990 New York City) was a British stage and film actor renowned for his refined portrayals of witty, urbane gentlemen in theatre and cinema. Over a career spanning six decades, he won two Tony Awards and an Academy Award for his signature role as Professor Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady. His notable films include Anna and the King of Siam, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, Cleopatra, and Doctor Dolittle. Knighted in 1989, he remained active in theatre until his death in 1990. He is part of the golden age of Hollywood and the silver screen series of photographs.
