Joanna Srokol is a Polish visual artist and creative freelancer. Inspired by the unique and extraordinary beauty of Polish and Scottish landscapes, she combines her love of painting, textile design and illustration to capture the elements of wonder found in everyday life across a range of mediums. Driven by dynamic colour and expressive mark-making, Joanna's work echoes the intensity and texture of natural patterns found between sea, glens and sky. Joanna pursued her dreams of moving from Poland to Scotland to follow her passion for textiles, graduating from Heriot-Watt University with first-class honours. She then continued her creative affair at Edinburgh College of Art, where her Masters' collection: Lines, Landscapes & Crossovers, was critically acclaimed and awarded the New Designers with Sandersons Colour Award. Since then, Joanna has continued to create original works of art, hand-dyed and screen-printed fabrics and commissioned paintings.
