O'Hara, Louise
Louise O'Hara works out of her little studio, surrounded by the sewing machines, boxes of vintage fabrics, typewriters and thread that she incorporates into her richly layered seascapes and landscapes. While gaining her Masters Degree in Fashion and Textiles, she discovered the Japanese aesthetic concept of Wabi-Sabi and aims to capture ‘beauty in imperfection’ in her designs. Louise is influenced by aged textures and surfaces and loves to play around with threadbare, hand dyed fabrics and hand painted papers.
