Sir Peter Alexander Ustinov (16 Apr 1921 London - 28 Mar 2004 Genolier) was a British actor, writer, director, and humanitarian whose career spanned over six decades. Renowned for his wit, versatility, and raconteur charm, he won two Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor in Spartacus (1960) and Topkapi (1964), and portrayed Hercule Poirot in six adaptations. A multilingual intellectual, playwright, and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, he was knighted in 1990 and celebrated as a true Renaissance man. He is part of the golden age of Hollywood and the silver screen series of photographs.
