Sir Christopher Frank Carandini Lee (27 May 1922 Belgravia, London - 7 Jun 2015 Chelsea, London) was an English actor, singer, and author whose career spanned nearly 70 years. Renowned for his deep voice and imposing presence, he gained fame as Count Dracula in Hammer Horror films and later starred as Francisco Scaramanga in The Man with the Golden Gun, Saruman in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies, and Count Dooku in Star Wars. A World War II RAF intelligence officer, Lee also recorded symphonic and heavy metal albums. He is part of the golden age of Hollywood and the silver screen series of photographs.
