Boris Karloff (23 Nov 1887 Camberwell - 2 Feb 1969 Midhurst), born William Henry Pratt, was an English actor famed for his iconic portrayal of Frankenstein’s monster in Frankenstein (1931) and its sequels. With a career spanning stage, film, radio, and television, he became a defining figure of classic horror, also starring in The Mummy (1932) and voicing the Grinch in How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (1966), earning a Grammy. Renowned for his gentle off-screen nature, he amassed over 170 film credits and two Hollywood Walk of Fame stars. He is part of the golden age of Hollywood and the silver screen series of photographs.
