Mickey Rooney (23 Sep 1920 Brooklyn, New York - 6 Apr 2014 North Hollywood, Los Angeles) was an American actor, producer, and vaudevillian whose nearly nine-decade career spanned silent films, Hollywood’s Golden Age, Broadway, and television. Rising to fame as Andy Hardy at MGM and in musicals with Judy Garland, he became the top box-office star from 1939–1941. Rooney earned four Oscar nominations, a Juvenile Academy Award, an Honorary Oscar, and Emmy and Golden Globe wins, and remained a versatile performer into his 90s.He is part of the golden age of Hollywood and the silver screen series of photographs.
