Marlon Brando Jr. (3 Apr 1924 Omaha, Nebraska - 1 Jul 2004 Los Angeles) was an American actor widely regarded as one of cinema’s most influential performers. Known for bringing method acting to mainstream audiences, he won Oscars for On the Waterfront (1954) and The Godfather (1972), famously refusing the latter in protest of Hollywood’s portrayal of Native Americans. His iconic roles in A Streetcar Named Desire, Apocalypse Now, and Last Tango in Paris reshaped acting for generations.
