Errol Leslie Thomson Flynn (20 Jun 1909 Hobart, Tasmania - 14 Oct 1959 Vancouver) was an Australian-born actor famed for his swashbuckling roles in Hollywood’s Golden Age. Rising to stardom with Captain Blood (1935) and cementing his legend in The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938), he often co-starred with Olivia de Havilland in adventure classics like The Sea Hawk and They Died with Their Boots On. Known for his charm, athleticism, and scandalous off-screen life, he died at 50 from a heart attack. He is part of the golden age of Hollywood and the silver screen series of photographs.
