Edward G. Robinson (12 Dec 1893 Bucharest - 26 Jan 1973 Hollywood, Los Angeles), born Emanuel Goldenberg, was a Romanian-American actor famed for his passionate performances and commanding screen presence. Rising to stardom as gangster Rico in Little Caesar (1931), he built a versatile career in over 100 films, including Double Indemnity, Key Largo, and Soylent Green. An outspoken anti-fascist and art collector, he received an Honorary Oscar in 1973, shortly after his death. He is part of the golden age of Hollywood and the silver screen series of photographs.
