Danny Kaye (18 Jan 1911 Brooklyn - 3 Mar 1987 Los Angeles), born David Daniel Kaminsky, was an American actor, comedian, singer, dancer, and humanitarian renowned for his physical comedy, pantomimes, and rapid-fire patter songs. Rising from Borscht Belt vaudeville to Broadway hits like Lady in the Dark, he starred in films including The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, White Christmas, and The Court Jester. A UNICEF ambassador from 1954, he earned multiple honours, including the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award. He is part of the golden age of Hollywood and the silver screen series of photographs.
