Manuel Antonio Rodolfo Quinn Oaxaca (21 Apr 1915 Chihuahua City - 3 Jun 2001 Boston, Massachusetts), known professionally as Anthony Quinn, was a Mexican and American actor famed for over 100 film, television, and stage roles, often portraying earthy, passionate characters. A two-time Academy Award winner for Viva Zapata! (1952) and Lust for Life (1956), he starred in classics like Zorba the Greek, Lawrence of Arabia, and La Strada. Also a painter, writer, and civil rights activist, Quinn became an enduring figure in Latin-American representation in U.S. media. He is part of the golden age of Hollywood and the silver screen series of photographs.
