Janet Leigh (6 Jul 1927 Merced, California - 3 Oct 2004 Beverly Hills, California), born Jeanette Helen Morrison, was an American actress, author, and businesswoman whose career spanned over five decades. Best known for her Golden Globe–winning, Oscar-nominated role as Marion Crane in Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho (1960), she also starred in classics like Touch of Evil and The Manchurian Candidate. Versatile across genres, Leigh worked in film, television, and stage, and co-starred with her daughter Jamie Lee Curtis in several horror films. She is part of the golden age of Hollywood and the silver screen series of photographs.
