Charles Boyer (28 Aug 1899 Figeac - 26 Aug 1978 Phoenix, Arizona) was a French-American actor renowned for his sophisticated romantic leads in over 80 films from 1920 to 1976, including Algiers, Love Affair, and Gaslight. A four-time Best Actor Oscar nominee and 1943 Honorary Award recipient, he also found success on Broadway and co-founded Four Star Television. Known for his suave charm and deep French accent, he tragically ended his life in 1978 shortly after his wife's death. He is part of the golden age of Hollywood and the silver screen series of photographs.
