Hazel Bowman is a self-taught artist from Scotland and specialises in charcoal, pastels and mixed media. During her time as a nurse, she carefully studied the human form and could always be found sketching whilst learning. It was soon clear that her passion was for art and drawing figures and her portfolio of dancers began to take form. Hazel's images beautifully capture the energy and movement of the ballerinas with a sense of magic that sees her drawings almost dance off the page. Hazel loves to draw the Scottish Ballet as well as Latvian burlesque, Russian and Argentinian dancers and she always manages to catch that one special moment of the routine on paper.
