Eldred Gregory Peck (5 Apr 1916 San Diego - 12 Jun 2003 Los Angeles) was an American actor celebrated for portraying men of integrity and moral courage in over 60 films from the 1940s to the 2000s. Known for his commanding presence and resonant voice, he won an Academy Award for Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird (1962). His career highlights include Roman Holiday, The Guns of Navarone, and Cape Fear. A humanitarian, he received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1969. He is part of the golden age of Hollywood and the silver screen series of photographs.
