Part of a series depicting scenes along the historic Tokaido Road, this work by the prominent Japanese printmaker Hasui Kawase was part of his renowned collection "Selection of Views of the Tokaido" (c. 1930). Hasui Kawase the leading Japanese Ukiyo-e landscapist of his generation.
