The Yellow Edit
24/07/2023
"How wonderful yellow is. It stands for the sun." -Vincent Van Gogh
Yellow colour is a primary colour in painting. It is the brightest of all the colours in the spectrum of light. It is evoked by light with a dominant wavelength. It is the colour of sun, light, heat, sunflowers, daffodils, egg yolks, lemons, canaries, and bees. It stimulates, activates, and is playful. It maintains alertness, promotes concentration. It is the colour of happiness and joy. It is a mental stimulant. It is one of the seven hues that together makes a rainbow. It is located between orange and green and opposite violet on the conventional wheel.
