Modern artist Henri Émile Benoît Matisse was a French visual artist, known for both his use of colour and his fluid and original draughtsmanship. In this late work, Matisse revisits the theme of the reclining female figure. Characterised by a muted blue palette, "Odalisque, Blue Harmony" was painted during the artist's period in Nice, France.
