Terry Frost RA was a mid centry British artist and a member of the Royal Academy of Art. Frost began making paintings featuring a spiral motif in 1990, after visiting his son in Arizona, USA. He linked the form of the spiral, with its longevity as a symbol across many world cultures, to the immense age of the desert landscape.
