Pablo Picasso spent a huge amount of time in Cannes, a resort town on the French Riviera. 'L'Atelier a Cannes' was produced by Picasso in his Cannes workshop and was used for the cover of 'Ces Peintres Nos Amis' (The Painter's Friends) a book produced by Gilberte Duclaud which featured photographs of well- known French painters and their artwork.
