This photograph of Hollywood actress Audrey Hepburn was taken for ‘Secret People’, a British drama film which provided Hepburn with her first significant film role. This portrait of the Hepburn was taken by Bassano Ltd in 1950. In 1850 Alexandra Bassano opened a photographic studio in Regent Street, London and although the studio was resold on many occasions following his death, it maintained the Bassano image.
