In 1971 German-Jewish photographer Francis Goodman produced this photographic portrait of internationally renowned artist Francis Bacon. The twelve negatives shot by Goodman capture Bacon in his studio sat uncomfortably on the edge of his seat reflecting the distorted figures in Bacon’s abstract paintings.
