In 1986 Keith Haring was commissioned to produce a mural commemorating the 100-year anniversary of America receiving the Statue of Liberty from France. This painting is a smaller version of the 90x30 feet banner which features Lady Liberty standing proudly in front of faceless figures jumping for joy.
